Adam Scott’s High School Yearbook Quote Amazingly Foreshadowed His Masters Victory

Ok, so most of us either don’t remember, don’t care to remember or just plain don’t care about what we listed as our personal quotes from our high school yearbooks.  Count Masters champion Adam Scott as someone who’s not in that group.

As we all know by know, your 2013 Masters champ made an incredibly clutch birdie on the 72nd hole, then followed it with arguably the one most memorable shot in Australian golf history as he buried a 15-footer down the hill on the second playoff hole to win his first green jacket.

Shortly after Adam’s victory, Claude Harmon III tweeted the above picture of Adam from his high school yearbook.  Before you chuckle at the photo (who doesn’t laugh at a pic of themselves looking back more than a decade ago?), check out his quote- “If all else fails, birdie the last.”  Well, Adam did exactly that on Sunday in winning his first major title.

Kudos to Adam- talk about living out those words on the highest stage!
