Adam Scott Wins The Masters And Damn, He Looks Good In Green

The year was 1998 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, MN, where the top collegiate golfers in the country were teeing it up in the NCAA Championship Fall Preview event.  The NCAA Championship was to be held at Hazeltine the following spring, and as tradition held, the top players and teams from around the country were invited to compete at the same Championship venue the fall prior to get a sneak peak at what awaited them come springtime.

Playoff Holes at The Masters- Augusta National’s Missed Golden Opportunity #AmenCornerPlayoff

Following one of the most captivating, exhilarating and nerve-wracking finishes in Masters history in which Adam Scott prevailed with a birdie on the second playoff hole over Angel Cabrera, it’s hard to imagine the drama and excitement on Sunday at Augusta National reaching an even higher peak.  Yet, going back to a Tweet that I recall from Gary Williams from Golf Channel following last year’s Masters, I believe that the Augusta committee is missing a golden opportunity.
