Check Out This Fantastic Text Message Exchange Between Keegan Bradley and Phil Mickelson #Firestone

It’s no secret that Phil Mickelson likes to have a little extra fun during Tuesday practice rounds on the PGA Tour, as in you know, playing for a little green (as if these guys don’t play for enough of it from Thursday-Sunday).  Over the years, Phil has had legendary Tuesday money games with a bevy of PGA Tour players.  Of late, one of his favorite practice round playing opponents is he of the flat-billed hats, Keegan Bradley (who was recently on Feherty).

Keegan is the defending champ here at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone this week and during a media interview on Tuesday, enlightened us to a hilarious text message exchange between Lefty and himself.  Bradley said, “I texted him, and it was fun to talk to him about the round (referencing him sending a congratulatory text for Phil winning the British Open)…….we were double checking we were going to play on Tuesday (a practice round money game), and I said, I know you’re the champion golfer of the year, but I’ll teach you how to play Akron if you want (Firestone- site of this week’s WGC-Bridgestone Invitational).”

Just how did Phil respond to Keegan’s joking lesson offer?  “I won there when you were nine years old.”  (Phil won the World Series of Golf at Firestone back in ’96).

Ah, fantastic stuff.
