The PGA Tour transitions from the revered, verdant fairways of Bay Hill to the steroidal, artificial, rocky pastures of TPC San Antonio, site of this week’s Valero Texas Open.  A couple of years ago, Tour players voted TPC San Antonio DFL on their favorite courses list (something about 7,600 yards, deep bunkers, rocks galore and an unrelenting wind don’t mix well together); however, with the Masters just two weeks away, the field is of decent quality as players prep for the season’s first major.  [Read more…]
