Fresh off the carnage that was the Barclays and Adam Scott’s victory in the shadows of Lady Liberty, the PGA Tour takes a short jaunt to TPC Boston, host of this week’s Deutsche Bank Championship and the second leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.  The surviving field has been narrowed from the top 125 down to 100, with only the top 70 moving on to the BMW Championship in two weeks.  [Read more…]

There’s no question about it, Tiger Woods is the best player on the planet and may go ultimately go down as the best player in the history of our beloved sport.  On a different note, one all-time title that surely can already be awarded, is that Tiger is the best player ever at letting us all know when he’s hurt (note the distinction between “letting us know that he’s hurt” and “playing while he’s hurt”).  This past week at the Barclays, we were served up another full dose of Tiger and his painful antics (pun definitely intended). 2013 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational Picks + Predictions Plus the Driver-Off-The-Deck BOLD Play of the Week #Firestone

Following a brief jaunt North of the border, the PGA Tour is back in the U.S. for the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone.  It’s one of my favorite non-majors of the year, as Firestone is a great track and always provides a stern test and a thrilling tourney; however, it’s also always a bit depressing as I mentally associate the Ohio track with the beginning of the end of summer.
